The information we collect:

Newsletter/updates subscription:

The personal information that is collected when you subscribe to our mailing list is:

•  Name (first and surname)

• Email

 

We will retain your information for Newsletter/ASN updates that we send no more than twice monthly, until you unsubscribe (by emailing info@analyticalsciencenetwork.co.uk). Note: as of 25th of May 2018, all information collected pre-May 25th 2018 will be deleted unless our members specifically opt-in by re-subscribing. 

 

Conference registration:

• Name (first and surname)

• Email

• Affiliation (place of work/employer)

• Abstract for poster/talk (if submitted)

• Any dietary requirements that you submit (used for catering purposes)

• Whether you have given us consent to print your name/email address in our conference booklet and whether you have given consent to being photographed for use on our website/social media pages

 

Any data collected for conference registration will be passed onto MMS Conferencing and events Ltd., who are our partners assisting us with the logistical organisation of the conferences. Email addresses will be published in the conference programmes if permission is granted on registration. Note: as of 25th of May 2018, all information collected pre-May 25th 2018 will be deleted.

 

Photographs and quotes

Express permission will be requested via the registration form with respect to any pictures, and via email for quotes pertaining to individuals, on our website and social media accounts. Event attendees who win prizes may also be photographed individually and used to help promote future events via the website or social media. Expressed permission of the use of these photos/quotes can be rescinded at any time by emailing us at info@analyticalsciencenetwork.co.uk, in the event that permissions are removed the ASN reserves the right to use a placeholder image of our logo in place of any image.

 

Google Analytics

In addition, this site uses Google Analytics for tracking usage. Personally identifiable information and individuals' information collected by Google is not used or stored by the Analytical Science Network. The way we use information

 

• We use the information you provide about yourself when registering to complete the registration process and to communicate with you.

• We email you our newsletter/event information if you have opted in to do so.

• We use return email addresses to answer the emails we receive or to broadcast messages from the Analytical Science Network to all members. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose, and are only shared with MMS Conferencing Ltd., for conference organising purposes.  No other third parties receive your details from us.

• We print your name and email address in the list of delegates if you opt in.

• We email you conference information and work to solve any conference related issues with you via email once you are registered.

• If opted in we use your photo/name/affiliation on social media to (for example) alert the wider community of any prize winners and promote the Analytical Science Network.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.

Our commitment to data security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. All of the documents and articles that appear on the Analytical Science Network website are already in the public domain and are freely available.

Our commitment to children's privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important.  The Analytical Science Network is not directed to anyone younger than 18 and is offered only to users 18 years of age or older. Any person who provides their personal information through the Analytical Science Network represents that they are 18 years of age or older.

We may use 'cookies' for administrative purposes such as cataloguing traffic patterns throughout the site and can use a 'cookie' to assign a 'User ID' for this purpose. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user. Unless you specifically tell us by registering or joining our mailing list, we will never know who you are, even if we do assign a cookie to your computer.
